On the other hand, the media helped the governments to create the nationalist propaganda by highlighting the dispute and providing more space and time than the pandemic.

India proposed this small step showing interest in a passive organization that foreign minister S. Jaishankar earlier stated- ‘SAARC has problems, BIMSTEC full of energy’. All are known to the episode of India’s intentional ignorance for SAARC, moving towards so-called ‘complementary’ institutions- BIMSTEC, BBIN, and BCIM. Then, is India optimistic about SAARC now? Why is India now enthusiastic?

Recently, Indian PM invited all the heads of the states to come together to curb the imminent threat of the calamity. At the conference, all eight countries discussed the crisis and gave some sort of suggestions.
